i never heard anyone say that, but it sounds like an excuse just to be lazy and do nothing,or another way of saying he doesn't want to be bothered wilth woman stuff.i.e feelings emotions.

that could mean a million different things. Get him to open up to you. Something may be really bothering him. Are you a good listener? Let him know you are there for him
