Yes, everyday - often many times a day. Sometimes I say formal prayers like the Lord's prayer or I pray scripture verses. But much of the time I use my own words, just praising God for his wonderful goodness and thanking him for the many blessing he has given me. I often just talking to him like I would take to my friends, telling my issues and problems.

Prayer is a conversation between me and God, and therefore cannot be "formal" in the sense that I'm just reading some words or reciting something memorized. I do think it is powerful to pray God's Word, as in pray what God has told us back to Him. I do not pray as much as I should, as the Bible says to "pray without ceasing."

I pray everyday, five times a day (at least...).

Salah is the name for the obligatory prayers that are performed five times a day, and are a direct link between the worshipper and God. There is no hierarchical authority in Islam and there are no priests.

Prayers are said at dawn, mid-day, late-afternoon, sunset and nightfall, and thus determine the rhythm of the entire day. These five prescribed prayers contain verses from the Qur'an, and are said in Arabic, the language of the Revelation. Personal supplications, however, can be offered in one's own language and at any time.

Although it is preferable to worship together in a mosque, a Muslim may pray almost anywhere, such as in fields, offices, factories and universities. Oftentimes visitors to the Muslim world are struck by the centrality of prayers in daily life.

I pray to God the way the Last Prophet taught us. I don't make up my own ways. It is 5x a day. It takes 5-10 mins each prayer. I cleanse myself from impurities (abulation). The way the Prophet taught us. Here is the main things I say in prayers taught by the Last Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

I seek God's refuge from satan the accursed.

In the name of God most gracious most merciful.

I Praise and thank God Lord of everything that exists

The Most Gracious The Most merciful

Master/King of the day of reckoning (judgement)

You alone we worship and You alone we seek for assistance.

GUIDE me to the straight (right) path (way)

The Path that you bestowed your favor not the path that earned your anger or the path that has gone astray....AMEEEN.

All in Arabic because that is how the Last Prophet did his prayers. I am not fluent in Arabic or Arab but I understand what I am saying in prayer.

I pray probably every day, in my own words. I also thank Jesus for all the blessings in my life and pray if I'm troubled by anything. It's the belief and the spirtuality that matters to me most. God Bless

i pray daily.i view prayer as a two way channel of communication...between me and God.I use my own words and those words change daily because i face different situations everyday and then i get to hear from Him by reading my bible daily.....and every prayer i pray is always in the name of Jesus.

I always pray in my own words. I think of God as my literal, kind Father, and I talk to Him often.
