I want to cook steamed brocolli as a side, and besides cheese I was wondering what I could put on top of it. What would be good on it?

We used to make a tangy dressing by blending 2 parts mayo with 1 part salad dressing and 1 part mustard (Dijon is best). This is great with asparagus also.

Otherwise you can use most any salad dressing...vinaigrette or creamy. Flavored butters are good also...try blending melted butter with roasted red peppers or any number of herbs.

Hope this helps... :)

We saute some chopped garlic w/ some sliced vidalia onion (sweet onions) in extra virgin olive oil. Then toss in the steamed broccoli. Our kids love it, and we serve it a few times a week. I like to add some fresh lemon juice to my serving, I put the lemon on when I have it in my plate.

season salt is great. I usually throw in whatever spices I am in the mood for. Fresh basil and dill is great. Also, a little mint and lemon juice add a kick.
