My dad lives in Missouri but my family lives in Virginia and I miss my family but I haven't seen my dad in 5 years and I miss him. But I'm afraid that the only reason he wants me here is so he doesn't have to pay a fortune for me to go to college. Should I go back to my roots or should I start over in a city?

I think you should go live with your dad for awhile, if anything just to build a bond with him, you probably don't have a great relationship and never will have one if you don't take this opportunity. I highly doubt that your dad would only want you for $ reasons. He has missed out on so much of your life and you have missed out on having him in your life.... I think it would be very beneficial for you to go live with you dad for awhile. I also come from a split family and when I was 16 I moved away from my mom and in with my dad and its been the best thing in the world for our relationship, I wouldn't change it for anything.

You have to make that decision for yourself. You need to weight the pros and cons of staying with the pros and cons of going. You should do what you feel is right for you. But, after 5 years, you have to wonder what his motives are.

you should go where you want to be regardless of what anyone says.. your father may want you there so he doesn't have to pay the money but he's your dad I am sure he loves you to..
