The Iraqis liked to pimp on scooters rigged up to donkeys. You would see a dude standing on a little wagon holding the reins to some poor mule going down the road. It made the route recons more interesting.

I refused to believe the story until I was drug in and shown the surveillance tape.
Another time I watched an Iraqi man urinating in the same canal that his wife was getting a bucket of water (for cooking) from. (I don't know if this was more bizarre or disgusting.)

When the Iraqi artist, Kalat, melted down several of the bronze busts (he was forced to make of Saddam Hussein, displayed in Baghdad) and created a new statue to honor the "American soldiers and their fallen comrades". The statue shows a small Iraqi girl giving a soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of a comrade in arms. It is displayed at Fort Hood, Texas, I believe.
