blahblahblah

I am atheist so are my little missus, boston terrier puppy and bug puppy. I don't have a problem with their spiritual beliefs but I prefer them to keep them to themselves. I was born and raised catholic. I celebrate the solstice (Dec 21) and we still do the gift exchange. Midnight mass is the only service, except funerals and weddings, my parents still attend. I spent 4 years as a hopeful agnostic learning the basic philosophies and origins of most major religions and have been atheist for 16 years; it's cost me a few friendships.

Probably not. Sounds like a great bumper sticker or t-shirt, though! I'd buy one! :)

Just buy a "NO SOLICITING" sign.
But before that, do this just once ...
Save a copy of the "Watchtower." Then when the Mormons show up, go get it while feigning livid anger, shove it into their hands and say, "I read this **** when you people came here last year and I don't believe a word of it! Now GIT!"
Maybe it would be worth the fun to obtain a Book of Mormon and do the same thing to the JWs as well!

that would be cool, but they would probably still ring your doorbell and try to "save" you.
It works better if you're jewish. it's weird. Mormons (jehovah's witnesses haven't ever come to my house, only mormons) won't try to get you to come to their church if you're jewish, do they believe the chosen people thing and don't want to mess with them, or do they jsut think they'll have trouble convincing them the jesus was holy and then that their leader was holy too? I don't know.

Probably not. We are given the Great Commission’ entrusted by Jesus to his followers (‘Go ye therefore and teach all nations .. .‘, Matthew 28:19). Don't want your blood on our hands, you understand.

As a Christian, I gave up trying to convert the Jehovah's witnesses when they came to the door. I just politely said, Please do not disturb me again. They have never come back.

I doubt it. How about a "No Trespassing" sign? :-)

Seriously though, as a Christian if you told me that you didn't want to me to talk to you about it I would probably stop talking to you. All you can do is ask.

No, that will just provoke them. If you stand perfectly still, they won't be able to see you. Their vision is based on movement.

No, but when they come to your door, tell them they can tell you about their god, if you can tell them about yours.. Then pull out a satanic bible or some such. Most will scoot out pretty fast.
