If you really must classify, the class of people who commit the most crime are the poor. Unfortunately, in this country, that means that more people of color (not just blacks) commit crimes. But I think it has much more to do with their economic status than the color of their skin.

thats a terrible question because you just put the entire population into only TWO race categories..... many people commit crimes, not just black, not just white!!!! But they both commit crime, it shouldnt matter what race the perp is, the fact is that a crime was committed by someone!

What difference does it make? A crime is still a crime. The only information you could hope to gain with this question is fuel for some bigoted arguement. The answer isn't blacks or whites, but criminals.

Since there are more people classified as white ,I would assume that it would be white people. But I'm not sure what the stats say about it.
