Sometimes stress or malnutrition (or many other things) can cause irregular periods. Examine what is different in your life and maybe you'll find the reason for it. If you can't find a reason, go to the doctor. A gyno will be able to tell you what's wrong, but it's probably nothing.

Well did you recently get it or have you had it for several years? That happened to me when I got my period. I was also 9 when I started bleeding. After I found that I was having this problem I went to my OBGYN and was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. It causes you to skip and your hormones not to regulate properly. I don't think you have to worry about it, but if you continue to have this problem for several months contact your OBGYN. Good luck. If you need to talk about it I'm on yahoo messenger right now.

If this is just an isolated thing, I would not worry... however, it you start having period every 2 weeks you need to see your Doc as you may have a medical condition that needs to be treated.
...fibroid, endometriosis are just a few conditions that can cause abnormal bleeding.

It could be a hormonal imbalance, and if that is the case then you can take birth control & it will help. If you are already on birth control, then I would seen a doctor.

It happens. Esp. if your young periods are never exact. It also could be midcycle bleeding which I used to expierence, so my Dr. put me on birth control.
