I have psychotic symptoms ...voices. but recently as I was telling someone what was going on in my head... they said it sounded like ocd thinking.
so what is the difference between hearing voices and ocd thinking??
what I hear sometimes is repetitious sing songy stuff...not all that pleasant words.
sometimes it is a recognizable voice..my own inner voice other times...NOT
anyone have a clue??? could this person be right that I have some ocd symptoms as well??

if the person is not a doctor then don't listen lol.

ocd thinking is thinking about one thing for like hours. You're completely stuck on that one subject. (believe me i know) i have lived with 4 bi polars and thankfully now only 2. But one has SEVERE OCD thinking.

if you here voices then that is COMPLETELY something else.

I don't know which it is called.
however I have the same thing too!!! and apparently almost everyone has it but either ignore it or consider it normal. I know somethimes I say things out loud and dont know where they come from...
the voices are sometimes useful, they can tell you to do things that you later find out saved your life!!!
leave them alone but pay attention, they will soon become clear and start to make sence the more you par attention to them the better. < see what I mean.

When the brain senses the blood sugar is low, it can do/request some odd things to get the body to release blood sugar into the bloodstream. OCD behavior is one way, as is anger, crying, etc.

While your condition may have nothing to do with low blood sugar, you may want to check out www.hufa.org, especially the symptoms link, because it might.

If you're hearing actual voices, it's a symptom of schizophrenia.

well yes you could have OCD as well, but you better check with your doctor before making any real assumptions.
