Frequent cold showers, lots of fans, and stay hydrated (drink lots of water!). I feel so bad for you, I can't live without AC, I'm spoiled I know, but after living a summer in an apartment without AC (or when our AC breaks) I am just absolutely miserable without it! If you can get out of the house I totally suggest that too, go somewhere free or cheap that's air conditioned and then by nighttime it should be cooled down enough to sleep at home.

We have the same problem. We keep a squirt bottle filled with ice cold water handy and periodically squirt ourselves and our pets. Of course, we also keep shades pulled on the sunny side of the house, open windows when it cools off and close them when it gets hot. You need a whole house fan and an attic fan. Attics can get to well over 100 degrees, even when its only in the 80's outside. If you don't get rid of the hot air in your attic, you will NEVER get your house cooled off.

If you can squirt water on the roof of the house with a hose, it will help cool it off inside. The heat of the house goes towards evaporating the water.

You probably just got a little over heated and dehydrated. Just make sure you keep drinking water and you should be ok. If you start to get dizzy again, or get the shakes, call a doc.

get some misters for the front porch so you can cool off out there and get you some of those tower cooling fans for inside the house....they do not work as well as window units, but they are inexpensive and will cool things down a bit.....drink lots of water and wear light clothing.....good luck.....

Many, many cold showers.
If you have a nearby library or mall go there for as long as you can.
Good luck.
Been there, done that.
