The basic natural nature of all of us is already contaminated with the cultural conditioning we received while growing up.

Some self help books enable us to become aware of this fact, and some others even help us to begin the process of decontamination toward the restoration of our basic natural nature.

Hence it would not be a good thing to ban, or even restrict, self-help books.

I'd disagree. Sometimes what they're doing is letting you discover the real you. And sometimes "destroying our basic natural natur," as you put it, is a good thing. We have laws so we can keep people from letting their basic instincts run wild. Besides, anyone buying a self-help book generally wants to change--that's why they're buying it.
