Did it work?

I've gone through the proper channels with the state. It's just that payments are sporadic and vary and he owes so much that it will take 25 years to get it all at the rate he's going. I'm very frustrated.

I contacted one before, but honestly you are better off by going to your local DHR/DHS/Child Support Services. A private support collection agency will do one of two things, charge you money, make you get them all the documents, they need, and take forever....OR tell you that you have to contact your state agency. Generally a state agency like DHR/DHS, etc...will assist you in tracking the father and processing the needed forms, have him served, and represent you in court. I would not spend the money for a private agency when you have your local state/county representatives and agencies available to you.

Don't you have to pay for that service?

Why can't you go through the court system?
