Blame the media and popular opinion. Israel is the only nation on earth that can violate another nation's right of sovereignty and not have the entire western world place sanctions on it. Israel clearly gets the benefit of the doubt in all matters, even though I believe if Hezbollah is classified as a terrorist organization, then Israel is likewise a terrorist organization. People in the U.S. form opinions based on limited information which explains their reaction. Let us remember, modern Israel was founded by Jewish terrorist who blew the hell out of the British. The Israeli state is founded on the principle of terrorism, yet they would hate to see any Arab states begin to prosper.
Oh, and before you accuse me of being a liberal or sympathizer, just know that I voted for Bush in both elections.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a sovereign nation defending itself against militant aggressors, but there is a fine line between self-defense and using an attack as a justification for retaliations that far exceed what is necessary. Take for instance the Japanese raid on Manchuria: When a Japanese railroad was supposedly sabotaged by guerrillas, the Japanese used it as an excuse to invade all of Manchuria and use it as a staging ground for its further incursions into Asia. So while Israel is certainly defending itself, it has also seized the opportunity to kill as many Arabs as it can with the amount of time it has, and deal as much damage as possible to Lebanon.

because Fearless Leader aka GW supports Israel and they support Bush. I agree that the bombardments are a little excessive. Especially considering the Israeli ground forces are some of the best in the country they could have swept in took out Hezbollah and been left with few civilian casualties. Don't let the close-mindedness of people bother you.

Yo be attentive to what, if it exchange into basically a protection rigidity ingredient then i could believe you even with the undeniable fact that this is no longer. If a forign protection rigidity presence tried o invade a united states they could have each and every good to combat decrease back yet that would not exempt them from the guidelines of conflict. It doesnt mean they could deliver suicide bombers against their foes or launch volleys of misguided, random rockets into civilian neighborhoods. Palestine could have completed this the proper way, they could are turning out to be supprt from different international locations, waged a known conflict to shield their very own turf yet they did no longer. And while Isreal exchange into put in they could have customary them as a neighbor or no longer yet they way they fought decrease back says alot approximately them and takes them out of attention for distant places information in my e book. i do no longer believe what Israel has completed yet you may no longer stay interior the previous perpetually. If that have been the case the U.S. could nonetheless have slaves, and every person could nonetheless hate Germany, and so on. besides in retaining with residing interior the hear/now Palestine is the single at present inflicting the subject concerns. Im specific most of the civilians choose peace however the few undesirable apple terrorists are ruining it for something of them. while Palestine starts attempting to artwork w Israel instead of against them issues will initiate getting extra proper.

Try not to pay too much attention to some of us one here, I have really seen some angry, uptight people! Don't take it personal, well how can you, none of us know you!
I've found that many of the same people are always answering questions smart elec, angry, or questioning. There are all kinds of people on these sites, and they feel they can answer any way they want because they have a anonymous name, so don't worry about it, and for sure don't take it personal! Be glad you got 1 good answer out of 25! lol

It's obvious that the people you asked the questions of are probably ignorant. In this day, and age it's a shame that you can't ask a serious legitimate question without being called a sellout. It seems that if you don't agree with others points of view then you become labeled. If they truly knew the answer that's what they would have done; answered it! Sometimes I think people in the U.S. are not as intelligent as they profess to be.

It's a knee-jerk reaction...they must take Bush's statement "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists" very seriously.
There's nothing wrong with asking how many civilians died in any country. It shows concern. I think it's nothing short of terrorism to support the killing of innocent civilians!
(No, I'm not a liberal)
