God is not a bully, it is man made religions that breed fear. God fearing Christian? I want no truck with those. God is loving and forgiving, not a force to be feared.
As for those who said you blasphemed, you DIDN'T, god put you down here to learn, you learn by asking questions, you asked a question, God is pleased.
God Bless
Love and Light

I don't love nor hate God, and neither do I fear him in the conventional sense of the word. After all, if God is so omnipotently powerful, whether you love or hate him/her doesn't really matter, as a divine being should be above human emotions. By the same token, fearing God is pointless because we have no idea just what he/she has in mind for all of creation. The idea that a God would demand constant worship and tribute from its followers seems somewhat silly to me, as it would suggest that God has an ego and is insecure, which I don't think is the case. The world's religions would profess to know the "truth" behind God's plans, but when you get down to it it's all just a matter of faith and what you choose to believe in.

If all I knew about God was what people on here said, or even what some religions taught about him, I probably wouldn't want to worship him.
However, I love Him because I have gotten to know Him. I took to heart His invitation at James 4:8 and began studying the Bible and came to know He has a personal name (it is found at Psalm 83:18 in most Bibles, but was originally found around 7,000 times in the original manuscripts. ) I also came to know His four most dominate qualities which are Love, Justice, Wisdom, and Power.
I only fear displeasing Him....like a child fears displeasing a loving parent.

No God is not a bully, we are part and parcel of God, when a child is separated from the mother, which is the original source, the child will never be happy, regardless of how much external comfort is provided, but when the child is reunited with the mother, then the child automatically becomes happy and fulfilled.
The same is true between ourselves and the supreme.

Do you fear deep water? Or is it a healthy respect and you know that you cannot just go in without precautions of swimming experience or a life preserver? You cannot push a toddler out of a boat and expect him to not be afraid. The only reason to fear God is that if you don't ask for Salvation, He will not allow you into His Kingdom. Satan will allow you to come to him without a conviction of any kind. I do not fear God, I respect and give Him honor.
God fearing Christian means that we fear the alternative to Everlasting Life, that God has promised, because we KNOW He will let us recieve our consequences from not making the correct decision. Some Fathers love us enough to make the rules stick!

No God isn't a bully. No I love God because he's fantastic. he loves me, he sent his son to die on the cros to save me. He provides for me, he is always there for me, he guides me, he teaches the right way to live, he's my best friend, my Saviour, Redeemer, LORD, Master, Father, Prince of Peace.... I could go on and on and on.
How can you love somebody that is a bully anyway? Daft question if you ask me.
God is neither male or female. The reason we say He is because its masculine.
You should give him a chance. you won't be dissapointed honest.

No, I love Him because He first loved me. The only thing I fear is not spending eternity with Him but thankfully His Son died for me.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

I love Him, because He sent His Son to die for me. To go through an agonising death so that my sins could be washed away, and I could have a place in eternity with Him. I have never felt fear from Him, only love. His Spirit is the most beautiful and awesomely powerful feeling I have ever felt. When we accept his Son into our lives, it gives us the chance to live in a state of Grace. The more we follow His will, the more beautiful living in that state of Grace becomes. If we go against Him, He is still there fore us, but we are turning ourselves away from him, He waits patiently for our return, our sin makes him sad, maybe angry too, but more than anything sad. When we come to Him in repentance, He welcomes us with open arms. He may well let us have a few lessons and tests, but never sends more than we can deal with, if we will only lean on Him. He takes our worries, troubles and pain and soothes us. Am I afraid? Yes, aftraid that I will screw up so badly, that I will do something to ruin my chances of one day being reconciled with Him. But that is just my insecurity playing out, because He has promised me salvation, promised me that He is there for me. He does not want us to love Him because he commands us to, but because we come to know Him and want to love him, that, is why he gave us free will, that way we can chose. Even those who don't chose His way, he is sad over. He does get angry, but he is not a God of retribution, He manages his anger appropriately, doesn't take it out on us. He is a loving God, one of patience, one of pure honesty, He brings us good things, we just don't always chose to see them, and He loves us, He loves us more perfectly and more beautifully than anyone ever could. He is not a bully, he is our Father.

no because God gave me life. I'm sure if God wanted I could be gone right now but I love God because of life no matter how hard it is.
