Humans are not wired to be monogamous anyways...so it's actually sort of natural to want more than one person.

Who ever said it was okay? I think that ANY man who says its ok for him and not ok for you is just plain stupid. Some men are just pigs, and since the double standard was probably made up by a male, it would really be hard to get the fact that the double standard is unfair AND false through their thick heads.

Its not ok, and some woman do it too. That doesn't make it right, for either the man or woman, there should only be ONE woman with a man, and only one man with a woman..sadly not all people feel that way.

Whoever said humans weren't meant to be monogamous is dumb! What would happen if everyone just went around and slept together? We would be over populated for one, and two, disease would be everywhere. Why is there such thing as marriage if we weren't wired to be with one person? People are and should be monogamous for a reason. To answer you question about why men think it's ok for them to get with as many girls as they want, men were once in control. For some odd reason, I think they still like to think that. They think that they have something special that women dont. The point is, it does not make it ok for a man to sleep with as many girls as he wants, that makes him a slut too! HA HA!! They get disease just like women. Women should flip it on men who think they are the man because they slept with 50 girls. Why don't we start calling them "slut", "whore" and what-not and see how they like it?

Age old question. Maybe one day people will see there isnt a difference. Just like when they made that movie DISCLOSURE. The table have and do turn quite often its just more priased for men to be dogs than it is for women to be ho's. Ideally i think its, more so along the lines that women are the ones that recieve and men give so its overlooked in that sense as well.

It isnt okay. It is just that we have allowed loose morals for men to long and held woman to some harsher standard. Today I think is much better than the past though.

Good Luck to you and God Bless!!

It depends on what you mean by "have". If you mean relationships neither is acceptable if the relationship is serious. If you mean having sex, men that are straight don't really want to see other naked men. Whereas women may be more interested in another naked women for comparison or just because the naked female form is much nicer to look at.

not saying that its ok because its not. i mean yes we are put down as women for doing the same thing. its always been that way. because men are usually the ones who go out looking and picking the most in who they want the ones who mainly ask the girls out and so on......while girls wait to be asked... but things are changing girls are now asking the guys out more and doing the searching themselves.....guys are being offended by this and so we get called nasty names for the same thing. yes you can call it double standards but guys better watch it cause girls are becoming stronger.

Its not okay, just for years that was expected out of a man. Then women said forget this and started doing it and man felt like we are things on pedestals to show around and when we stopped acting like that, the name h.o.e and s.l.u.t came about.

Honestly, it's not. I would never date a guy who cheated in his past relationships. It's not fair for society to cast this double standard on women and males, but it's hard to change those rules and typecasts.

Somebody posts this question every other day. It's only an issue if you make choices for yourself but then decide to worry about what other people think anyway, and thats just silly. Personally, I can't care enough about what someone else may assume about me or about what other people choose to do to worry about stuff life this.
