Go to the ER and they can help big time. It is the usual case for people like us. They will put you in a darkened ER bed and have a good doctor come and fill out some medications that will help.
Hospitals are no longer allowed to turn you away, forget about the money, get your head together ok? I've been there, it isn't fun. Are you at work? Are you at Home? Take a bubble bath when you Do get home from the hospital, order yourself a really good Pizza for YOU tonight. Have someone take the kids overnight if you can. More than two kids, have a few friends and family take one or two for the night. You need quiet right now. Let your brain rest tonight. Watch really stupid stuff on TV to get your mind off the real world. Its what I call "stepping off planet" for a while. You'll be tired tomorrow but you'll be yourself again. So yes, like others said, go to the ER yourself, or call 911 These are serious and can get worse, or come on more often. Think about what set it off, and let THAT go ok.

OK theres no need to call 911 or a doctor. Just take deep breaths. Breath in through your nose and push our your belly at the same time. Do this 3 times in a row. It should calm you down and bring your back to a calmer state. Its something my therapist taught me to help with my panic attacks. Dont freak out cause youll just make your attack worse. Get your mind off of it...Read a book..Play a game..Talk to a friend...Watch a funny show. (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air always helps me) Theres no drug that would help you right this minute. If your attacks are frequent...Go see a therapist..who can point you in the right direction of seeing a doctor who prescribes anti-anxiety drugs. They do help. If you have a chemical-imbalance is helps correct that.
Good luck! =]

A panic attack is the flight or fight reaction in your body to a certain situation. I would always set a kitchen timer, go to a quiet place, and allow myself 15-30 mins. to "freak" out about whatever it is. Usually imagining the worst thing ever, dealing with that, whatever was at the root of the panic. Self-talk helps too. Breathing deeply, if I was alone, calling somebody to come over.

You can't control it. Go see a doctor and get on medication. You shouldn't have to control it or deal with it. You have a chemical imbalance that needs to be treated. You can learn some coping mechanisms and learn what to do if you feel one coming on but they won't go away until you seek some treatment. You are not crazy! Although, it feels like it when you are experiencing it. In the mean time- stay in a place that makes you feel safe- have someone around so that you don't feel alone or feel like you are going to pass out with no one around you- breath slow and deep-KNOW That it will PASS. But go see a doctor and have patience. The problem can be fixed.

The first thing is to breathe deeply, slow deep breaths, in and out. Then be concious of your body. Release any tension in your muscles while you continue breathing. Close your eyes to relax if you need to. Then assess your situation. Why are you feeling this way? Do you really need to worry about what's going on in your mind? Is it something you can just let go, take its course? Is it something you can do something about to make it better? Be honest with yourself and do what you need to do. Taking decisive and controlled action is the best method for dispelling panic.

First of all...are you sure it is a panic attack? Have you had them before. I hate to answer a question with a question but you have to ask yourself that. Take four deep breaths and sit in silence if you can. Concentrate on something good that has happened to you. If your problem persists then consult a professional. Hope I helped. Remember..take some deep deep breaths.

For right now, just take some deep slow breathes and think to yourself that you are okay. Keep repeating this as it will give you something other than he attack to focus on. When it passes, and it will make an appointment with your doctor, tell them what triggers your attacks and the severity and they can prescribe anti-anxiety medication and refer you to a specialist if they are frequent and severe. I wish you luck with this but do seek professional advice as this is something that is relatively easy to resolve!

Relax, it will past in the meantime try not to focus or dwell on it too much. You know what is and that you won't die. Schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist and tell him/her what you are feeling and ask for a presciption. You'll be fine, the key is to try to remain calm and don't dwell on negative stuff that leads or aggrivates the attacks.

first take a deep breath hold it now release it slowly out of your mouth. do this excercisce for about a minute. Close your eyes and where ever you feel something, for example heart racing, throat tightening things of that nature, imagine that feeling is an object. Next think of a light colour such as red, oink, orange, etc. once you have thought about the colour, imagine making a cicle around that feeling or thing call it your safe zone
