26 male now. But marriage will probably come in my 30's or 40's. My sisters are already married : younger sis 24yr old, older sis is 27. Parents tired and getting older.. they even say they will go back to their country( mexico).. so i'm going to be a loner with no fammily, and i don't have friends either. so if i have marriage one day.. it will be quite an empty wedding. Do many people have weddings like this? and i dont' mean by choice, i mean because all your family is spread far away.

If you are worried about people coming, just go to a justice of the peace. Good luck. Crybaby

I have seen weddings like this. The ones that worked were the ones the created the whole affair to be a low-key, intimate celebration. And hey, one upside is that you can have a fancier reception (whatever you choose) with less people for the same amount of money. Or if your family is concentrated in two areas, you can have two parties!

Don't worry to much about it right now... you never know what the future will bring. It isn't about the number of people at your wedding - it's about how much they love you.

We had 110 guests at our wedding and I would say about 25 of them were there for me and the rest were there for my husband. His family is closer than mine, I mean my own mother wasn't even there. But all that matters is that I married the man of my dreams. Once you find the one you want to marry, none of that other stuff will matter. I'm sure your parents will come back for your wedding. And, hey, the less people you have at the wedding, the cheaper it is. Don't worry about that stuff now, you have to find the right woman first.

I have heard of others having to do a destination wedding to accomodate their family members. Consider that as an option, instead of asking everyone to travel for your wedding, have your wedding at a location that allows more of your family members to attend. You will be just fine. Good luck!

You could extend invites to your family, they may come, or invite co-workers, make some friends. You have lots of time, not to mention, your bride will have family to fill those seats.

No worries, have never heard of a wedding where no-one came.

i don't think you'll have an empty wedding..you are Mexican correct? Being Mexican myself we always look for an excuse to party.

Try to be more outgoing and 26 years old is still young.

good luck
