I have had more than one piece of advice what I would like to share.
I was told by my Grandmother to always be truthful to myself and to never give up no matter what would ever come my way because life is to beautiful and precious to give up on.
She also told me to always follow my heart and never to give up on my dreams and to always stay myself. To always share my love, warmth and friendliness with the world around me and be like the sun who warms the heart of people and brings back a smile on their face.

There's several pieces of advice I've been given over the years that are excellent. One that I live by is "Living well is the best revenge." My grandfather told me that when I was going through a particularly viscous divorce. Since then, I've started a business, bettered myself and met the as close to perfect man and started a family. My ex is bouncing from relationship to relationship and job to job.

The best piece of advice someone ever gave me was to think about what you do before you do it.......if it would bother you if your partner did it then maybe you shouldn't be doing it.......... keeps you out of a lot of trouble

Dont sweat the small stuff. You could be very angry now but try to look down the road. Things will change and get better. Life is like a roller coaster it will go up and down.

My brother once told me - I was 16 - to never, ever act in a way which I might regret later because regret is the one emotion that can truly destroy you; it is the one emotion that you can do NOTHING about and so it eats and eats away at you until it can become your undoing.
He was/is right.

there are several:
something good always comes out of something bad
tomorrow can change everything so do the very best you can everyday
be a good example to others and treat others respectfully and cordially no matter how they treat you because you have to live with yourself and your actions
