Who loves their cats the most, The British, The Yanks, Aussies, Cypriots, Eygyptians???

personally i can cover 3 of those choices myself. I'm British, born in South Ruislip Middlesex, England, and i looooovvvvve cats(i have 23) i now live in California USA, and i believe i am a reincarnated Ancient Egyptian because i love all things anicent egyptian and they loved and revered the cat.

I think I'd go for Egypt, as well. I mean, their love went to deifying cats... how much further can one go? :)
Anyway, I know that having 8 cats (as an English answer mentioned) is a lot, but I have seen in some documentary a poor man in Asia (I remember the image, not the movie - not much in terms of details, sorry) - maybe India, but I am far from sure - who went out and took food for the cats that were outside his house. And there seemed to be scores of them!
So I think if a nation can claim the title of greatest cat lovers, I would guess it may be a third-world country. Where people have so little, and _yet_ they share with their cats.
Other than that, I think cat lovers are a breed dispursed around the world. And we have our enemies too. (Being a cat _and_ a dog lover, I cannot understand the enmity, but then... I had a difficulty with people who disliked Math back in school. Or the humanities. I got used to the idea, eventually).

UK i have 8 cats and i love them so much they are my babies!! i am struggling to find a new house as i am worried my cats might get run over if i am too close to the road! all my friends think i am mad allowing my cats to dictate this.

Probably the Egyptians. Historically. Nobody's ever gone that far to venerate a very useful, household pets. Look at that sculpture from antiquity!

I can't speak for America as a whole but we do love our pets. I know that I love my cats and treat them like they are my children. My cats are my best friends.

I live in Texas and I luvvvvvvvvvvvvv my kitties sooooooooooooo much. Blackie and T.J are awesome!!!!!!!!! =^-^= but I think the Egyptians luv their cats the most, they literally worshipped them!!!!!!!!!!
