These are people who are not bothering anybody and who deserve the same rights that we all have. wouldn't it be better if everyone just minded their own business?

so are you saying God actually hates??? I thought God was all about love... and if it's disgusting to you, that's fine but law is not defined by what YOU think it's disgusting. Marriage in a church I agree should be defined by the particular religion, but marriage by the state cannot discriminate

It would be better, but it seems that some people are stuck with such a horrendous sex life that they have to ruin it for others.

OK I'd Like to start by asking what "values" in marriage would we be destroyed when only about 1/2 of today's marriages last? I know gay couples that have been together 30 and 40 years! I know less straight couples that I could say that about. I would also like to say that the Bible may be considered "the word of God" but it was written by man and the version we read today was not created until the invention of the printing press. Some of you hold versions that are even younger. If you are naive enough to believe that those people who held the knowledge and Scriptures of the Bible before it was printed didn't alter it to their favor, then your crazy. I love my partner! I never thought I would be gay growing up. I thought it sounded gross, but I also thought having sex at all sounded gross. People change and you can't help who you love. not to mention the fact that shortly after me and my partner met a group of men raped me. They got me pregnant and I now have a 2 year old son. The thought of being with a man terrifies me! I'm suppose to go marry one now if I dont want to be alone for the rest of my life. I think that anyone that has anything negative to say is imature, insensitive, ignorant, and close minded. Grow up and grow some balls. Stop just believing what you were told by those who came before you. They lived in their own time, in there own world. It's a new world today AND I'M PART OF IT along with the rest of the gay community. We are in positions of power in this country, and we grow stronger daily. We aren't going anywhere so DEAL!

It would indeed be better if everyone just minded their own business.... however, homosexuality is a disease, or more specifically a conflict within ones MIND, and the primary symptom of this disease is clinical denial. Clinical denial is where one has no idea that one is in denial. Not all homosexuals are pedophiles, but a very large number are... and the children they groom and finally seduce are often so vulnerable that the sexual seduction tips the child from confusion to a delusional belief that he/she is homosexual. Perhaps some might not think that such abuse of a child matters, but I believe it does matter... to a cultrue that is fast loosing its sense of right and wrong.
It is foolish to imagine that individuals in clinical denial would be or even should be allowed to self-regulate themselves relative to the seduction of young children. The homosexual lobby through the use of accusation of "homophobe" has been quite effective in developing a huge following of groupies and wantabes who champion the "rights" of homosexuals. I'm old and really don't personally care, but what a futrue is in store for the Nation if something isn't done to stem the tide.

A lot of things in this world would be better if people minded their own business.
I think a lot of people just fear what they don't know. I've never been against gay marriage, but since coming to college I've met several gay people, many of whom I count as good friends. Getting to know them as people removed any of the last doubts I may have had.
Many people also use religious arguments against homosexuality, but that's just more fear-mongering. I don't understand how someone can say that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and then turn around and use verses from the OT to argue against things they don't like. Remember: "the greatest of these is love".

People want to ban homosexuality because they aren't used to seeing a relationship other than a man and woman, so they find it disturbing. Well, food is the same. Food that is delicious to one culture might be extremely gross to another. Also, some are afraid that having homosexuality will lead to loving trees and tables or whatever. This isn't true, cause some countries allow homosexuality/gay marriage for quite some time, and loving trees hasn't happened yet for them, has it?

Yes, let's have everyone mind their own business. Let's "okay" the gay marriage thing. And pretty soon we're going to be letting people marry their pets or marry their cars or marry their siblings. The fact is is that God created Adam & Eve, man & woman. If He wanted us to marry, date, etc. the same sex He would have created it that way.
Homosexuality is a sin. "And their blood shall be upon them."
Also, yes, God does hate. He hates the sin not the sinner though. Why can't God have all colors of emotion too? Do you not think that God is sad when people are killed or do you not think he is angry when people sin? Why not?

It is hate. Pure and ugly hate.
If they were really so concerned with the 'sanctity of marriage' then why not ban spouse-abusers from re-marrying first? Surely that is a much bigger abuse of marriage right?
My guess is that the hate comes from a combination of a childish feeling that homosexuality is gross, combined with doubts about their own sexuality that comes from poor self-image and a lack of experience with intimacy. I'd feel sort of bad for them if they weren't bigoted hate-mongers. The Christians who feel this way especially astound me. Do they not realize that they are breaking a commandment 'thou shalt not judge' and slapping Jesus in the face by refusing his very strict command to *love* the 'sinners'.
Oh, well. Have faith. People stupid enough to try to repress homosexuals a probably too stupid to live very long.

Homosexuality is perversion.
And yes, homosexuals have the same basic human rights as anyone else. But they do NOT have the right to redefine marriage.
Do a Google search on David R. Usher gay marriage unconstitutional.

We live and survive today because our fathers were faithful to their faithful wives and produced healthy babies. If we fail to do the healthy thing, then we will fail to survive over time. If we all went with the homosexual way of life, there would be no survivors in a short time. If we live for today, there will be no tomorrow. Homosexuals are a dying breed ... they can't reproduce. That is known as sweet justice!

I don't see why people have such an issue on what goes on in someone else's life or even thier bedroom. Can't redefine marriage based on the values stood now. I just think that they have every right to be happy as anyone else.

People have been brainwashed into thinking that they're evil, and people take joy in making people feel crappy. Bullies keep doing it because there's a thrill in seeing people suffer. These people are bullies, rationalizing their cruel behaviors by the groupspeak of many churches around the US. I don't know, churches need to start teaching kindness instead if you ask me.
