No magic pills... eat 1,200 calories a day and exercise. You've been yo-yoing because you don't lose it the right way.
Go to the YMCA and talk to a trainer.

Go on the Internet and read all that you can about a drug called Phentermine it is the good part of Fen Fen. It can help you get started and it has very little side effects. You would want 37.5 mg they are timed release and work very well. Along with diet and exercise you can lose weight very well. I have had a weight problem all of my life not 150 lbs. but always carried a extra 50. A friend of mine at work was told me about them and I tried I have lost 50 lbs since February and have not gained any back. I also did a elliptical machine 50 minutes a day and totally chanced my eating habit which i know i will have to do for the rest of my life if I want to stay this way :) Mind you 12 years ago after the birth of my child in 4 1/2 years I was up to 256 lbs and lost 105 lbs without pills but was also 27 years old. As you get older it is harder to take it off and keep it off.

I just loooove all these people who come up with expensive solutions like see a nutritionist, doctor, weight watchers, curves, etc. Limit your portion size...No second helpings, No snacks between meals. Walking is a cheap, easy way to start an excercise program. Walk to places that are close, walk around the neighborhood, even just around the block a few times each day. Do have breakfast, it helps keep you from overeating the rest of the day. Don't skip meals. With that amount of weight to lose, it won't happen overnight. It'll take a long time. You will hit plateaus where nothing happens. Don't give up, keep plugging away. Oh, yes....do pay attention to the nutritional value of the food you do eat. Filling up on junk will just make you feel weak.

Go to your docotr or to a weight management doctor and ask what your best option is. With such a large amount to lose, i would beleive that you would need to be seen by a doctor and kept under his care for proper weight loss proceedures and success. I can tell you to make sure you drink no more than 120 oz of water, but no less than 90 oz. The water will keep you hydrated, and keep your body properly flushed. Stay away from carboinated drinks, limit your caffine intake, or try to stop drinking caffine all together. Chew sugarless gum, if you have a sweet attack, and eat in smal proportions. You have to build up your metabolism to burn calories, but a docotr should be the one telling you exactly what you need to do to stay healthly while losing the weight. Do not expect to lose it overnight, it will take time, but if you follow the dr's orders and lose your pounds gradually, then you will have successful weight loss and you will keep it off. Also, by going to the dr, he will run some tests on you to make sure your thyroid is okay, and that you are not diabetic. If those things go undiagnosed it can cause a lot of problems for you as well.
Good luck!!!

I think you already know what the answer is. First, see a doctor, then a nutritionist and FOLLOW a good, stable diet plan. First be sure you do not have a thyroid problem and proceed from there. There is only one way to lose weight. Eat less and exercise more. Also, get support from others in the same boat (and maybe join Jenny Craig or one of those places). No magic pill here. Good luck.

Change your eating patterns. Cut out all sugar and starch Stick to lean proteins such as tuna and chicken. Eat high in protein to build muscle mass such as Special K cereal for breakfast with lean milk, tuna and greens for lunch, even eat power bars, etc.
If this is hard, try Weight Watchers. My best friend went on that and lost 50 lbs and is keeping it off.
The next step is exercise. I recommend starting light at 3-4 times a week cardio for at least 1/2 hr. After you have lost some initial weight, start a weight training regimine to increase tone and definition..
Also change your lifestyle. Walk instead of driving when you can. Join a group that hikes or a gym and take kickboxing classes. Make your entire lifestyle more active. You will be amazed at how much self confidence and joy comes to your life when you make a point to be healthy and active.
Good luck.

I have been going through the same thing and the best way to lose the weight is to have a support system. No joke! If you have the proper support, you are able to be more aware of the food that you eat and how much that you exercise which are the second key to losing the weight.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

The truth of the matter is you can't spot reduce which means if you are mainly trying to shed punds of your waist or something that would be impossible so avoid all the exercise equipment that says mainly you can have shaped up abs in only a month because that is impossible.
I think you should just go with weight watchers can't fail with them

1)Stop eating all the bad carbs (not all carbs because you need them) avoid white bread, spaghetti, potato chips. Instead try to eat whole wheat (not whole grain). No Soda, juice, candy. Try fruit as a snack instead.
2) The meal you eat should be no bigger than you fist. Ex. try a portion of meat (not fried), and two types of vegetables.
3)Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day.
This will not be easy at all, but if you put your mind to it you can lose the weight
