The verb "chingar" is literally the "F word" in Mexican Spanish, but like in English the word can mean a lot of different things (good or bad) depending on the context. Obviously, like in English, it's not a word you use with everyone as it can be seen as offensive even when it's used to mean something good, but between 2 friends it can be a compliment. In this case, it's a compliment, it literally means he's "f-ing awesome". Sometimes "chingon" will even be used as a nickname for people.

Muy chingon means he is awesome.
For example the concert was bien chingon, means the concert was cool, awesome.
Its not for curse someone, trust me.

i agree w/ NM 505...and it could aslo be profanity in spanish. your not very classy or educated if you use that phrase, in the bad way though.
