I have only heard of it if it is contaminated with lead.

Bronze can not poison you, but Mercury, and Lead can. So be sure you are handling bronze. All other metals your body will reject.

Bronze is a combination of silver and copper. If it gets under your skin your body will reject it, as in getting infected and push it out.
