i want to go stand up, what does it take to be discovered? any known comedy clubs in Rhode island? what steps do i take?
here is one of my jokes: what is the point in ghostbusting? ghosts are not real, if they were a metal box won't catch them! hey you with the vaccuum cleaner wake up and exit the mind of stephen king!!!

Just remember one thing, allot of times, it's not what you say but how you say it. The joke you used on here is dead, get some new stuff and try them out on people that will give you a honest answer. The best comedians of all time had to start out somewhere, many did armature nights and went from there. You will get ridiculed along the way but take it like a man and learn from what people say to you. When you are told that you will never make, that might be true but use that as your fire to try harder and achieve you dream, go for it man and I wish you the best of luck.

u should try out on ur friends first. to be a really good comedian u have to be able to take any subjuct at random and make a joke of it, not just jokes but short stories and out loud thoughts to just straight jokes all the time wont make it big.its also how u present urself so some jokes wont be as funny when writen you have to have the visual affects too.

ewwwwww......... theres a bowl of melted ice cream on my desk..... soryy that had nothing to do with what i was talking about... but yea just keep them simple.... but my advice is not to try too long in the comedy stand uppy thingy... lots of people dont make it... ahhhh that sounded really mean... just what i think... or you could get a office job thing and then try to have like some kind of ...uh... comedy thing in the office... you know just do the jokes for fun... or you could join some ind of joke thing on the internet and post them there and just have fun with it.... wow i didnt mean to write that much ... oh well hope i helped....................................... eww ice cream... melty..ahhg

record a video of yourself doing stand up. Post it here. If you are funny, ppl will book you. But I didn't get your jokes by reading them. I think stand-up is about all elements.

You shouldn't play off other comedians!!! You should play off the audience if that is how your mind works! Improvisation, it's the easiest way I know!
