Ok bad video reference. Probably he's trying to find something that he has in common with you to talk about. Did you meet through her or something? Or maybe he just feels it is a safe topic. I don't know what you guys talked about so I in no way want to stick up for the dude.
But you know ... first dates ... people get nervous and tend to ramble and well sometimes they just don't HAVE a topic that they know much about so they pick something safe. Guess this was a bad pick on DUDE's part. But you get the drift.

Depends on what he was saying. If it was just general stuff like she's cool or something, he could have just been really nervous. If it was more sexual things, he wants your mom and isjust an idiot for trying to go through you first.

That's what my daughter said 3 of her boyfriends did and the reasons she broke it off with them. Sadly, OUR relationship deteriorated after that.
