My mom recently fell and is acting a little weird. She broke her nose and possibly did other damage. Lately, she has been mixing up unrelated words. For example, she says the little girl was hanging on her mom's nose......as compared to what she meant to say, "leg".....Can anyone tell me why this is?

Mom needs to be checked out by a qualified doctor pronto. Sounds as though there is some loose circuitry that happened in the fall. Get her to a doctor for some tests.

How old is she? Did she become unconscious during her fall? The memory part of our brains is located in the soft frontal lobes. Maybe she jarred herself harder than you think. Get her to a doctor quick.

It sounds like your mom is suffering from EXPRESSIVE APHASIA. This can be due to a severe head trauma or stroke. It is important that she seek medical attention to find the underlying cause of this condition.

That is weird, mabey she suffered brain damage, it is not unheard of for someone to break their nose and have it crush into their brain.

She should have a CT scan to see if she has a small bleed or maybe her brain is bruised. You should definately get her to a doc.

t could be a concussion or it could be a minor stroke.

Ask her to do these 3 things

1 smile
2speak a plane sentence.
3 rise her arms over her head.

If she has a problem with any of these please seek medical attention quick.
