I've met people of many religious backgrounds, but considering that Christianity is the majority religion in the US, I see more Christians than not. However, I've seen a wide variety, and some who didn't act very Christian at all. Only once have I met someone, a young woman. After a long debate, I considered her a true Christian; truly following her faith. What is a true Christian to you? How do they act? How do they treat others? Do you feel you are a true Christian? To clarify my definition of "true"- someone who follows the Bible, believes strongly in their religion, God, and Jesus, lives their life, everyday, according to their beliefs, and most importantly, acts Christ-like towards others- "do unto others as you would have done unto you."

There is no mold for a true christian to fit into. Their faith, and christianity is between them and God. You will meet some that dont appear to be, but are, and some that appear to be and arent.
It is between God and that person, and noone else. There is no true christian behavior, and we kid ourselves if we think their is.

To be a true Christian is to be faithful and true to God.... Also believ in one God and him only not no saints and idols and stuff like that.
True christians are not defenetely liars we stay faithful and read the word of God. We study and try to build our spiritual life in God and try to closer with God..
Christian life is all about talking to God personally and receive blessings from God and hear God's Voice..
It may seem crazy saying it like this but that is what the bible says that people would consider us crazy and that is what is going on right now in the world...
The reason why you see alot of people as christians around the world is because we are the chosen ones from God to minister and build other people faith in the Lord..
The people who dont act Christians at all is because they are not taking care of themselves in the Lord. And they are not taking the Lord serious. And they are letting the devil play with their minds. It isn't easy being a christian because we do have battle's that come and try to overtake us and that is when the devil get's mad but no worries cuz we have a God that has more power than the Devil...
As a christian we have to love others and even our enemies.. It isn't easy but we have to humble.. And yes I consider myself as being a true christian that is y I am here to help you understand what a christian is all about. I hope this helped and answered your question but also remember that there is different types of christianity....

A true Christian is one who has been saved by the Grace of God, through Faith. When God saves you, He changes you. He makes you a new person. You no longer have a desire to sin. You want to walk close by Him, and serve Him. You seek the Lord for the will of your life and put your Faith, and trust in Him. You have that desire to pray, read your Bible, go to church. You want to tell others how much God loves them, and how to be saved. You let your light shine for Jesus. You have love in your heart for others. When God saves you, He gives you that peace and love in your heart.

A Christian loves God, loves others as he would themselves. If love was your only motivation in life then your life will reflect it and people will see it. Grant it we all have setbacks but the love and strength God in your life is how you react to it.

I'm sorry WMP55... I believe you're defenition is incorrect. The Bible explains that everything by the Most High and Almighty God, and thus copied by His beloved son, Jesus Christ revolves around one thing: LOVE
If you love, would you steal?
If you love, would you lie?
If you love, would you kill?
If you love, would you rape?
If you love, would you practice road rage?
The list goes on... That formula works.
A true christian follows the footsteps (example) of CHRIST, thus hi is called a Christian.
Christ had a job, but was known as a preacher of goodnews. HE WENT HOUSE TO HOUSE AND CITY TO CITY, talking about God's Kingdom and warning even those who considered themselves religious of what was to overcome them during the last days if they didn't change their ways.
Do you have a job, but are know as a preacher who goes HOUSE TO HOUSE AND CITY TO CITY to all people sharing the news of God's Kingdom?
Although Jesus encouraged his disciples and apostles to be obedient citizens, even encouranging them to pay taxes and "giving Cesar what is Cesar's and God what's God's" (so long as the government laws didn't conflict with God's laws and principles), Jesus NEVER allowed the present system of things of his time rule over him. In fact, he didn't want ANY part in politics. He even stated, I am not part of this world, then refered to the first christians as not being part of this world either.
Do you stay separated from political affairs but care to follow the laws of your country, including paying taxes? Most religions play a GREAT part in politics, even taking part in political events and going to the extreme of blessing firearms before a country goes to war, perhaps with another country who's citizens share the same religion and beliefs. As TRUE christians, we do not run to the ballot boxes to chose the next leader whom promises change. We instead run to people's doors, meet them on the street, in the park, while we travel, ANYWHERE, to urge them to choose God's Kingdom as the ONLY solution to the world's problems.
Jesus did not tolerate people who deliverately went against God's laws and principles.
True christians, too, don't tolerate people who deliverately practice sin: the people wanting to associate themselves with christianity but continue practicing sin are DISFELLOWSHIPPED until their attitude changes and they choose to repent, stop practising sin, and begin living a CHRISTIAN life once again.
I would be honored to help anyone reading this comment learn more about God's purpose for mankind and help you learn to be a true Christian. However, you must accept the Bible teachings as absolute, since the Bible is the word of God, taught by Jesus himself. Let me help you learn to be a true christian free of charge.
