I see a lot of questions by people asking why being a gay is a sin. The try to justify being gay by pointing out that there are worse things they could be doing (probably true) or calling anyone who won't condone their homosexuality names. If you are so convinced that being gay is good then why do you keep begging for our approval?

I think some may be misunderstanding me. I am not bashing gays in any way. I am not even expressing an opinion about gays. All I am doing is making an observation about the questions that are being asked by people on this site. The way the questions are phrased it would seem that they are looking for validation. If I am incorrect in my assessment please explain what they are trying to say. I am merely trying to understand

God doesnt want us to read the Bible looking for loopholes or trying to see how much we can get away with and still be a christian. Which is exactly what many are trying to do. Without God homosexuality can be justified all day long. But the fact is they cant escape the fact that God is. Thats why the Bible is such a sore spot for these people. If they can get everyone else to say yeah sure okay youre right, then it gives them reassurance that they are looking for about their sin. Its obvious that these people feel conviction and we need to love them and stand firm in Gods standard.

Why do I see so many Jesus freaks concerned with homosexuality?

And to answer your question, no one gives a sh*t if you approve or not, but the issue of sexuality is one where Christians show their poor, irrational, illogical, mythical thinking the strongest, so it is always a good way to get them to make asses out of themselves, as you just did.

Following your logic it would mean that so many people asking and answering questions about religion and faith are doing so because they are "not quite sure" about their beliefs...
But that is not true... people are trying to get their point across about something that is very important to them and that certainly does not mean that they need or ask for anyone's approval.
As for giving names to those who do not agree with them - I have seen that coming from many of those who are straight, so, my friend, you are generalizing too much...

Often when we don't feel right about what we are doing we seek approval of others to justify our actions.

God is the only one we should be getting approval from.

You seem like you don't understand how it is to be rejected just because you're a little different. Not to be racist, but you seem like a typical WASP, and a male to boot, so everything is handed to you on a silver platter.

People tend to defend vigorously things that in their deepest hearts they are not quite certain about. Yet if people are certain of something they know, it doesn't need defending.
