You're probably shy because you go in to it with high expectations.

Besides, the best type of conversation you can have with a girl you are interested in, is one in which you let her do most of the talking.

Start off with a compliment or two.
Ask a few questions, and be ready to help lead the conversation.
Then, once you get her talking, simply listen intently.
Repeat some of the things that she says, so that she knows that you understand what she is saying. Not only will she appreciate the thoughtfullness, but this is good practice for when you have a long term relationship.

Communication skills are essential for a long term relationship.

Most important, don't take it personally if it takes several attempts before you get 1 good converstation. That happens to everyone.

Just be sincere, and be yourself.

Stop viewing women as superior to you. Sounds like you have a problem with the way you view yourself. Be confident about who you are. Dont worry about what she thinks. Be yourself, be laid back and know that there are plenty of women out there to get bent out of shape because of just one.
