Karma is to act or doing something. Ancient indian religious concepts say that whatever we do, we receive the results of those deeds. Even the western science enforces that like,
"for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" - Newton's third law. The question is not whether the Easterners or westerners discovered it. but the point of discussion is the concept itself.
It should therefore be agreeable to all people that what we are today and whatever we are experiencing today are the results of our previous deeds. Its "karma phala" - the results of our karma.
Its also called as "karma siddantha" - the principle of karma in sanskrit.
I belive in that and personally try to follow that in my life :-)
If i want better outcome, I have to do good deeds.
If I want a best answer rating, I have to give a apt answer like this :-) I can see it working. Just kidding. Good luck. Bye

What goes around comes around. Karma is HUGE!!!! I totally believe in it. Karma has bit me in the **** MANY times. I now just try to treat people like I would want to be treated and I don't rob liquor stores anymore. LOL Just kidding, but I do make a conscious effort to do the right thing, like Spike Lee.

I don't think believe in "karma" so to speak, but I think it's along the same lines of this verse in the bible: "be not deceived, God is not mocked; what a man sows, he will reap". Galatians 6:7.

Almost no one understands it. You will get many wishy washy new age nonsense answers here. Go to the source and study the Abhidharmakosha by Vasubandhu and Illumination of the Path to Freedom by Gyalwa Gendun Drup.

Karma is how you believe people see and know you and how other people see and know you and the conscious and subconscious decisions you make from those perceptions that ultimately affect your destiny.

One of Kamelot's best albums! But still not as good as "The Black Halo"
(I'm sure this was lost on everyone, but I couldn't resist!)
