My new step mom will call my house and say?

it's mom call me back. I am 27 she is 29. How do I ask her nicely not to refer to me as her daughter.

call her and say did you call me, i got a message and called my mom first ,thinking it was her, but she said she didnt call, was it you? can you please not do that, i really thought my mom called, i dont think it is a good idea if you dont call like that anymore,let her know that she isnt your mom and she will never be, she is your dads wife, that has nothing to do with you.it may start something but hey at least you got what you wanted right>?

THe best thing to do is to ask her out to lunch, alone. Then be totally honest. Tell her how uncomfortable it makes you and that you don't mind calling her by her first name (if you don't). Even if she gets upset at the moment, if you are respectful and honest, eventually, she will calm down and realize how you feel. Most likely, she has great feelings of adoration for you and just doesn't realize how this makes you feel. In fact, considering some of the step parents in this world, you are lucky she cares.

If she wants to be thought of as your mom - let her. Just make sure the next time you are out with friends etc. - put your arm around her and introduce her as your mom. She'll feel so old she will probably think twice about it next time! Seriously - just be grateful she does want to have a relationship with you. So many step-parents are the opposite. Don't sweat the small things in life - and this is definitely one of them.

She is obviously trying to connect in a way that is uncomfortable to you, if you are cool with her and not upset about you dad marrying someone close to your age then let her know in a nice adult manner that you would rather call her by her first name and please dont ask you to call her mom, I think it would be cool if you can deal with it on that level, if she does not understand where you are coming from then ask your dad to explain it to her.

If you are friendly with her just come out and say that it would be better for her just to say her name in her messages to you. (could you say that you called your mom by accident when she said that, if she is still around?)

If things are strained you may want to mention it to your dad and see if he would be willing to suggest it to her.

i don't think you need to ask her nicely. she knows damn well it gets under your skin. c'mon she's 29 and expects you to call her mom. i think you should tell her what you think and don't hold back. Does your dad really expect you to call her mom?

She will refer you as her daughter as long as you are her daughter. That you can't prevent. All you have to do is tell her to stop calling you and tell her why.
