It's presumptious to assume she was abused.
Why not ask the mother? Or have your mother ask about the little girl? Your mother would probably better handle the questioning.
Also...does she have other siblings? Maybe a school yard bully looks like you, and she therefore assumes you're related? Perhaps she's a shy girl. In general, shy children are unnerved by the opposite gender.
I think finding out directly from the mom, making her aware of how the girl behaves, will help you get to the bottom of this.

I really think that maybe a man in her life has hurt her in some way...If it were that she is just a different kid, she would act like that toward other people as well and not just you. Just give her time. it may be a phase and then again, it may not. Only time can tell. Just dont try to force a friendship with her.

yea it truly is sad. the international is undesirable at present. from what i have analyze heritage however, issues were plenty worse earlier at present honestly. imagine about royal households who were more effective than each and every person because they were born right into a particular relations. and how they could kill someone for "treason" (even as each and every of the man might want to have suggested changed into some thing the king did not like). homosexuality is a minimum of fairly huge-spread in society at present. it wasnt in any respect earlier. and women didnt have any rights. there have been slaves. yea, there are some issues worse at present than earlier, yet i imagine universal human beings are evovling into more effective creatures. by using ways, dont be indignant yet my own opinion is that it is because human beings a lengthy time period in the past were a lot more effective naive and they believed the bible. the bible condones slavery, sexism, discrimination to gays, etc. at present, human beings have develop into more effective smart, seeing how immoral the bible and god is (yea god murdered such numerous human beings interior the bible and HATED even with the very incontrovertible certainty that he's declared to love numerous) at present, maximum folk i comprehend believe interior the separation between church and state. it wasnt like that a lengthy time period in the past as there have been many theistic governemtns

Often girls are afraid of men. It is possible she is afraid you will throw her into the air. Girls who do not have a father or have very little male contact experience very little physical play.
Or, she may consider hiding from you as a game.
Discuss your concerns with the child's mother.

My guess is you are trying too hard - play hard to get - if she wants to play wth you she will - dont leave her out if you are playing with a group of kids but if she doesnt want to join in -dont take it personally. Remember kids and just like adults you cant be everyone's friend all the time.

My niece was sexually abused by someone and he had dark eyes. I don't know who it was because it was someone her nasty mom was laid up with. Anyway, my husband has dark eyes and she is afraid of him. Every other kid loves him. She is 8 and can't get past it. So someone could have hurt her and you remind her of him. Just take it easy and don't push it. She will come around if she can. If you push it, it could really scare her.

Sometimes little girls don't like any men but dad and grandpa.
Don't take it personally.
She may just prefer grown up women and be shy around men.
I've even seen this with KG age kids.

my daughter has always liked people, and would go to anyone, except her aunt's boyfriend
he's a big guy, and he has facial hair, but he would be friendly to her and talk in a nice voice, so I don't know why she was wary of him
she wouldn't go near him, she would just stare at him
