I have heard that having morning sickness is a good healthy sign of pregnancy indicating that the baby is doing well and mother is eating good foods to get enough nutrition. Well today starts my 6 weeks. This morning was the first time I actually threw up from feeling nausea. What happened is last week or so when i get up I drink a glass of water or two and I am fine. Then since its been hot weather, I feel dizzy or lightheaded to stand up for a long time. I feel like i need to sleep. This morning same thing. i drank water out of bed. then brushed took a shower and then felt lightheaded again. So i thought i was hot then i went to drink another glass of water and in the middle, I went to the sink and threw up every oz of water my tummy had. But then i had a little juice of lemon, finally my throwing up stopped and i was able to eat some breakfast. doing find now, just wanted to ask if the vomiting this morning means baby is good, and mommy is eating right.?

I've always hear that yes it is a good sign. It shows that your hormones are changing and that your body is preparing itself for the baby. I would get sick as soon as I got out of bed in the morning so my doctor recommended I keep a box of crackers next to the bed so I could eat something right when I woke up. Also having something rich in protien to eat just before you go to bed is supposed to help.
Ginger and peppermint are natural ways to ease nausea and are both safe to have when pregnant. I also found that sucking on hard candy (especially lemon drops) seemed to help.
If you have a "Motherhood Maternity" clothing store near you they usually have these things called "prego pops" or something like that, they're also supposed to help with the morning (or in my case, ALL DAY) sickness. Congratulations!

If you want to be pregnant it is a good sign that you are. Have you taken a pregnancy test? Good luck!
