Anything is possible.
But possible and actual are not the same thing. It is possible the Easter Bunny & Santa Claus exist, but until they are proven to exist, they do not.

The concept of god promoted by religious people is laughable.
God gives you free will, but there is also destiny and prophecy. Well how can that be, since they negate one another? Either you have no free will and everyone is god's puppet, or god doesn't know everything and has no control over anything, in which case why should I be afraid of him?
If I'm just god's puppet, what kind of sick perverse creature would make me spend my time trying to disprove his existence to his followers? Why would he torment his followers through me?
Further, how can god be loving, if evil exists? The cop out answer is 'evil is the absence of god'. Well, if god is everywhere and responsible for everything, then he is also responsible for evil. You can't have it both ways. Either give him credit for everything or don't.
It's much more logical to believe that man created god and not the other way around. But try getting someone with 'faith' to use logic.
If there were a god it would be a sonofabitch for the horror show it has given us.

I feel it's a belief system, not a cold, hard fact. Therefore, god does exist for those who believe in a god or higher power, and doesn't exist for atheists.

I don't believe in God because I have ruled out the possibility of the Gods that I know of based on their descriptions in their holy books.
If I am made aware of some God in the future that I cannot rule out, then I may start to believe at that time.

The Abrahamic god? No.
It's possible, because negatives cannot be proven. However, it is extremely unlikely. And, if a higher power does exist, it does not affect us. Which makes it about as useful as an imaginary one.

The pharaoh was a god to the egyptians.
Aztec leaders were gods to their people.
Apparently gods existed. They are dead now though.
Even the Christian god is dead to most christians. He can no longer speak to them. He can no longer perform miracles. He has a book but cannot reveal any more truth outside of that book. The Christians have forbidden it.

The problem is, people think of this God that is seperate from everything else, looking down on us. You are a piece of God, and God is the sum total of all the energy anywhere in the universe.

first things first
1.this question should be for agnostics. 2. there is no decisive proof either 'contradicting the existence' or 'proving it'.
next it is a question of inner faith ,anybody who preaches it you is doing the job of brainwashing you .like Hitler did for Germany
