No, the biggest threat to the west is the west. Even the US is slowly heading toward a tyranny. The government messes far too much in the very personal lives of the citizens, and that is always dangerous.

Ironically the growth of the Chinese economy is one of the reasons China is not a military threat to the West.
It is one of the oldest ideas of free trade and the global market, but interdependent economies do not go to war. (It's the whole idea behind the European Union.)
China is becoming interdependent with both the US, the EU, and everywhere else.
Taiwan is still a potential flashpoint, but as time goes by, the less likely it becomes that the West will be prepared to risk war with China over something like this.

it No, I dare say that if anybody got into it with us, that is to say a global conflict, that the Chinese would be there fighting side by side with us. The reason is because globalization of industry. We have here a culture that is ready to spend and spend a lot. Communism with the Chinese has always been a way of life for them, in one way or another. Now that formal communism has lessened its grip on the people, if Russia were to start something with us the Chinese would watch a while then get involved. The reason I say Russia, is because there is no love lost between China and Russia. Reason; Because the Russians after the close of World War II, Russia stripped China of all of its industrial equipment on its way back home and therefore screwed China. Actually who would we have to watch? Russia and the Middle East/Asia, specifically Muslims.

Actually it looks like N korea is now and yes they (china) would go to war. Everyone wants to be a world power. We have been funding China so they can make a huge army and have lots of military equipment. PLUS THEY HAVE SOO MANY PEOPLE THEY KNOW THAT THEY HAVE THE MAN POWER!

We can do them anyway.
Iran is the problem at the moment.
Re your additional info. Yes I did realise that, but our Armies and weapons are still better, even if their are so many billion of them... they are not all in the Armed Forces.
I don't knowingly buy ANYTHING made in China.

i read that the chinese population is the largest standing army in the world so i guess if they got really tight for space and resources they could easily organise into an invading force. Remember Ghengis Khan - he truly kicked *** and I think the vast majority of Chinese are loosely related to him. Im gonna bone up on my mandarin.......

nope. we are our own worst enemy, i don't think we will go to war if they challenge us, USA alone couldn't defeat them anyway. the chinese army alone is about the size of half the US population. we will need all of our allies to participate in full strength if we want to overthrow them.to be exact china has 125,000,000 troops on ready status.
