God is there all the time watching us, our every move, even when horrible things happen to people. Know why ????
let me explain with an example :
Have you seen a child who is learning to walk ? Their parents love that child more than anything else in the world. they can do anything for him/her. Now they leave the child on ground to learn walking. The child falls, the parents have the capacity to lift the child and stop him from practising, avoiding him from falling in future. They can carry the child all the time, everywhere.
but the result???
The child would never learn to walk and will never grow up. Their love and affection causes loss to his devolopment and growth. No sensible parent would do that. even though it hurts them to see their children fall, parents let them walk, let them ride bicycle or bike and so on ... because they want the child to grow and devolop.
Same with the people and GOD ! God wants us to learn the things our own way. He gives us the chance to live our life. He watches us all the times. He sympathises every time we fall and provides some support or opportunity to lift us. We may use it or not, it depends on us. Yet God always looks after us as a eternal parent, long after our parents are gone, long after our children forget us. He shows his providence in our lives in one way or other, by means of one person or other.
We shouldn't be sad or pessimistic by undesirable situations. We have to believe in God and do our duty well. Good Luck. Bye

OK, sorry if I offend anybody but no, I don't think there is a God. How can a God stand by and watch while things happen like the tsunami of 2004, the terrorists attacks of the last couple of years and the violent wars that are happening at the moment?? Nobody has ever been able to prove there definitely IS a God, it's just something you either believe or you don't.

When you look at things in compartments, things may not make sense. You see a man doing bench presses, sweating, grunting and excercising. Someone who sees only that part of his life, will think the poor man got a bad deal. But, then the man lives a happy and healthy life because of that excercise.
When you see people standing in line to see a great show in a theater, people who may not know the value of that show may find it silly that these people are standing in line, bored stiff in the heat to get a little piece of paper, and they PAY for that "worthless" little ticket, which you can not use to write anything on, nor can you use it for any other thing.
It is all on how well you perceive the larger context of creation. A stone does not move by itself for a million years. ONLY and only when a force moves it will it move from its place, if not all matter has inertia in its nature.
Horrible things happened to the Jewish folks when they were prisoners in Egypt, but then Moses delivered them. Many immigrants took risks to cross the Atlantic, to find the promised land. Similarly the Lord most high allows a few hardships to take place temporarily so that he can give rewards to those who are patient.
I hope I am making sense.

Yes, God is very real. Horrible things happen because when God created man He gave man free will. Because of free will God will not interfere in man's affairs here on earth unless we ask him to. If you ask, God will answer when the time is right. The answer you get might not be what you want or expect, but it will be an answer that is right for you.

The human race defined 'horrible'. To the big old universe it's just things happening, neither good nor bad. For example, we don't like it when people die, but all life has to end.
I'm not a Christian but I believe that there is some higher power. It just doesn't think like we do. So it (whatever it is) is still the same place it is when good things happen.

He is "decreasing the surplus population" obviously! Its sort of like deer season for heaven. God realizes that the human race is spawning too quickley and destroying the land for everything else. So, sometimes he has to control the population by means of natural disasters and such. Very analygous to the way mankind controls the deer population. That's why we have a hurricane "season" every year..... Its really just the Lords hunting time.

hi Michael: definite the cases are pretty discouraging at present as they have been in the course of heritage. yet to doubt the author or blame the author for the moves of guy which has a free will does no longer make any experience. Recorded heritage makes no factor out that God will intrude to remedy our issues nor might want to he. What must be the point as this isn't heaven, that's purely earth? that's the proving floor and we've purely to prepare ourselves worth of a house the position issues do no longer pass incorrect. yet with any success it is contained in the far destiny by our criteria of time. The wind blows and frequently issues crumple contained in the wind, from time to time solid human beings we like were less than those issues even as they fell. might want to we blame God for our loss for sure no longer, purely because he knew of it does no longer propose that he made it take position. The wind blew the ingredient down on our loved one, his understanding did not make it take position. might want to he have stepped in and stopped the shape? that's earth, no longer heaven, the position the position our loved now is residing is heaven. Is it a foul ingredient that god did not intrude? we are expecting of so, yet i'm particular our loved ought to extremely proceed to be in heaven. we've a free will and the prospect to do the proper we are able to, so why no longer be as chuffed as shall we be and help our friends with a grin, a splash and somewhat encouragement. we are no longer going to get out of this alive besides and after we do not, we will be in a extra ideal position to opt for no matter if God must have intervened. Wishing you the proper Michael, Bob

Calibra - As most people are saying to you - God has nothing to do with all the bad things that can and do happen. But He's present for us when we call upon Him for Help - through the Holy Spirit and Jesus.
The Separation was not in the Garden of Eden. We - who no longer know our Father had a separation in Eternity, but only through our Spirit-Minds. In Reality, we are Spirit as is the Father. The Separation is very heal-able and is the work laid out for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. One soul at a time!
In the unconscious level of the human ego mind, there are things accumulated that remain outside of your conscious knowing, but nevertheless operate in your life. They are the ERRORS we have committed that have not been CORRECTED to our own satisfaction. The unconscious level of our minds is like the "carpet we sweep those things under" that we do not wish to think about.
They cause illness and disasters in our life. We are the authors of our disasters. We see ourselves as innocent - that earth is a violent, frightening atmosphere to be in. Indeed, it is! But the turmoil is equal to the turmoil inside all of us, collectively. So things happen. You could say, the earth manifests our collective upsets in terms of being a metaphysical world. Thoughts have God's power in them. Even, unfortunately, when they are upset thoughts, for God's power flows through our spirit-minds without cease. We are made as part of Him in spirit. He does not judge what we produce. He has a solution, instead. The Holy Spirit and Jesus. They come on a dime! Just holler!
Some of us develop diseases: dis-ease! Understand? Some are born with disability. We learn life lessons in our attempts to overcome these things, but they were initiated by subconscious thought of errors accumulated. You say, "But how can a baby have such thoughts in it's subconscious?" Life is a continuum. "Physical birth is not a beginning - it's a continuing."
I realize that when people are from denominational religion, and are traditionalists, these facts are confusing. But open your mind and let in something you may not have ever considered.
Jesus teaches what I have said, Himself. Yes!
Keep your eye on the Journey - and learning.

We are all here to learn lessons and we have free will, we all have to come together and stop all these horrid things. We also learn from bad as well as good and what we should learn surely is not to let anyone suffer at the hands of another. There are many good people out there, I`m sure enough to stick together and stop wars.....And yes there is a God x

We came down here to experience life on earth. It was specifically created to be a challenging place for us to be in order for us to experience these challenges and grow spiritually. If you look at the world honestly you will see a world completely balanced in every way - Where there is evil, there is also good, where there is dark, there's light and so on. Life is a choice and no choice is ever wrong. If you find the world events upsetting, don't watch the news or read the newspapers, as they only ever print the darker issues of life. Learn to see the good parts of this world, how people survive and grow through thier challenging lives. See the good or see the bad, but don't judge others for thier own personal choices in life. As this world was specifically created for us to live as we please.
