is it true that hispanics talk fast?

i'm hispanic and if i do talk fast it's innately so I wouldn't know. God bless ya.

I mean when they speak both english and spanish.

I was once told this from a friend who was a translator:

In English, most words begin with a consonant sound, and also end with one. Therefore when we speak English, you can somewhat still hear the breaks between words. In Spanish, almost all words start with a consonant sound but end with a vowel sound, therefore words flow together and can sound like one long word that is really a sentence. As for speed, I've heard many English speaking people that speak very quickly, as well as Spanish, but because of the asforementioned possibilty, Spanish may simply SOUND faster.

I think I speak fast when I am excited or happy, but not all the time. However, people have told me that Latinos/Hispanics speak fast. But it is my impression that people think so because they do not understand the language.

i guess so.my mom does, but i don't talk fast when i speak spanish...i will if you want me to...my friends say it sounds so cool though, u gotta add some of that latin flava into it.
