How do you peel a lemon?

Lemons have a thicker skin like an orange so you can peel it just as easy...As for a lime it's much more difficult since the skin is very thin....I usually peel the llimes with my teeth atleast to break the skin and then try to peel from that opening with my fingertips.

I don't think you can peel a lemon. But if a recipe calls for lemon peel, it probably means by using a fruit grater, which is like a cheese grater, but its usually smaller and the grating side is more fine.

The little cheese grater thingie is called a lemonn zester. Food is flavored using the peeled shavings called zest. Same with orange flavorings in jams , cakes, pies etc.

I am one of those that like to eat a lemon, on occasion. For that, I just slice it into quarters and munch down on the pulp. Yummm!

Use a knife...or if you mean get little shavings, then you can get one of those handles that has a cheese grater type thing at the end and just rub it back and forth, and the shavings will fall off on the other end. =)
