Most people in the christian or catholic church are well aware of how they need to live their lives in order to receive God's gracious invitation into heaven, but what exactly does heaven consist of? The descriptions in the Bible portray heaven as an illustrious place with pearly white gates where your soul can live in peace forever. But that seems to be about it. What exactly do you do in heaven? Why does God send you there? If you "live" in heaven for an eternity, then surely God must have some use or purpose for you? Why would he create a place that collects a neverending supply of righteous souls that just sit around for an eternity?

I'm not approaching this topic with any sort of bias agenda. I'm very open minded and just curious about this topic.

Obviously you missed the main point . God wants us to live with Him in Heaven . It will be the ideal place made for us and it is all of what the Bible says , but I'm sure the details will fill in the blanks when we arrive there . There are some things that we will have to wait on . God bless you .

In the scheme of things everything is rotating around something that is central for its existence. The electrons rotate around the nucleus, the planets rotate around the Sun. In my personal view this system extends to the spiritual realm too.

What is heaven is to be in the orbit around the MOST HIGH. The closer you are, the better your "spiritual seating" shall be... the more good you have done, the more shall be the volume of your "planet", the more intense your deeds are, the faster you will rotate in that orbit to enjoy the blessings that will spread from the Spiritual focal point.

The Lord saw the possibility that some souls will be able to enjoy this beautiful system (which can not really be described clearly by us mortals, we can only use allegories!!). Now, if he would not make the system he would be denying the good from getting into this beautiful orbit which spreads out into eternity in numbers, sizes, orbits speeds around the Spritual Effulgence of the MIGHTY LORD.

Those who do not make it into the orbit wander for ever, feeling the deep regret that they had an opportunity to be in the orbit, but missed their chance for something totally trivial. These are the people who will find their souls in deep anguish and regret, which is the concept of hell.

It is like someone throwing away a lottery ticket which was a winner thinking it was trash!!

I hope some of this is making sense and you will see why it is REQUIRED for the MOST HIGH to make heaven, because he could see that some would sacrifice their all for the benfit of others and for the sake of the Lord that they had not touched with their senses, yet they obey!!

Heaven, apart from the biblical description is the abode of God. God's purpose for creation is to worship and serve him in faithfulness and all righteousness. It has been said that 'what is bound in heaven is bound on earth'; but a day in heaven is not like a day on earth. In heaven, the Lord is the Sun and His Light is the Truth that elluminates and permeates the heaven. Labour is virtue and joy is the fruit. Why would He not let the righteous be with Him in eternity for having righteously and faithfully served Him?

is the abode of enjoyment which God, the Exalted, prepared for the righteous. The blessing they enjoy there, no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever imagined: "No soul knows what comfort is kept hidden for them, as a reward for that which they used to do." (32:17)
