he owes four months rent and will not get out...but i know he owns property in missouri..i want to see if i can put a lein on it?..he has turnned out to be a real nightmare!!!!!help!!!!!i hired a lawyer for the eviction but thats costing me a fortune..i wanted to try the other thing myself...susan

You'll have to get a judgement against him for the unpaid rent before you can attach any of his property. You might be able to get the judgement as part of the eviction process, but I don't know for sure. Once you get the judgement against him, you will have to file in Missouri to have the judgement domesticated into that state. Once that happens, you can attach any property in his name.

Pay a couple of hundred bucks to a couple of big guys to go throw the fear of God into him. He'll change his mind and get out pretty quick.
