when my husband was in iraq, (he was deployed) he told me about those jobs that civilians are being hired for, your brother is doing security right?? it's really really dangerous, that's why the pay is so high. no one can tell you what to do but just know your risks. iraq is a scary place to be.

When I read about some dumbass who gets kidnapped and beheaded in Iraq or Syria or some other uncivilized Middle Eastern country I simply shrug my shoulders and say, "Well, if you are stupid enough to go over there you deserve what happens to you."
I run 0% chance of dying from skydiving--because I know enough not to take unnecessary chances.
I run a 0% chance of being shot by gang bangers on a street corner at 3:00 in the morning because I have enough sense to stay home when I'm supposed to.
I have 0% of dying from smoke-related lung cancer because I was smart enough to never start smoking.
Some people are smart enough to avoid unnecessary risks in life--some aren't. I guess that's nature's way of weeding out the dumb ones.

I know of a nurse who went to Iran to work for the same amount years back. The country went into war. Her hospital was attacked, but she hid in a steel cabinet. When she came out, she spent 24 hrs straight performing surgery on the wounded American doctors. Somehow, her face ended up on the front page of the newspaper. She wasn't being praised, she was under warrant for arrest. Her landlady helped her escape to another country, but was detained for not having a passport. The American embassy couldn't help, because America wasn't in good terms with the country (I forgot which country it was). She had a duel-citizenship with the Philippines and fortunately they were able to get her out.
I'd be careful, there's a reason they're paying that much.

if you go there ,the chances are you will make your child an orphan, in a very short time .
, then you will NOT able to support your child at all..
don't believe , you will be able to screw that money ,out of anyone in that country, who are not, into arms dealing .
(ie. suplying weapons to kill our soldiers )
And you may be shot ,before you collect your pay.
so don't go there, get a steady job here ,
or stand in the fast lane of the motorway,
You will be so much safer here
good luck
:o)

Depends on what part of Iraq and what will he be doing. There are contractor jobs going on for construction over there. Just be prepared to work 12hr days for 3mth straight. Have him get life insurance before going but unfortunately they are going to want to know his occupation and plans. If he's working at a base he will be cool.

My husband has applied to go back to Iraq as well for the money. For a security contract he could make up to $150,000. I guess it all depends on what kind of situation you are in. I think most Americans are in the same boat we are...in need of the money.
What does your family think?

hell go ahead whats the worst that will happen? You'll have your head hacked off by a very dull knife. Then your kids will get ssi and won't need your child support.

Hope he lives long enough to enjoy it. A guy went over there with the same intentions and doesn't have a head anymore.
