Did you have corrective surgery done, and if so, was is succesful?

THANK YOU!! I think you just help me figure out what is wrong with my daughters eyes.. they have told me its because she is far sighted.... thank you thank you.... and if this is what she has and needs surgery.. I will have it done... good luck to you

My daughter has strabismus. We have not resorted to surgery yet. Her condition was discovered right before she turned 3 years old. She is almost 5.5 years now. Her prescription was changed to bifocals earlier this year. If that doesn't fix the problem then our doc says the next step is patching her strong eye to make the weak one work harder and become stronger.

My neice had the surgery but it didn't help her. She's 11 now and still cross-eyed. They tried the patch over the good eye for awhile, and she never kept it on so it didn't help either.
