Any flying object that cannot be identified is a UFO, that is an Unidentified Flying Object.
That said, any flying object that cannot be idenified and is not from Earth would be an extra terrestrial UFO. There are plenty of extra terrestrial UFO's, they are all bits of space debris that burn up when they enter the atmosphere. Some are larger than others.
If what you are asking is, "What is the difference between piloted extra terrestrial UFO's and piloted human made UFO's (and by the way, experimental aircraft are being built by more than just the U.S. Air Foce)?" That answer is simple.
Piloted human made (read: terrestrial) UFO's range anywhere from experimental prototype aircraft designs to highly secret aircraft.
Piloted extra terrestrial UFO's do not exist.

Well, the answer will be predicated by whether or not one believes that some of the ufo's are made by E.T.'s. If some ARE not of earth, then the difference will be that one is made and piloted by a human air force pilot, and the other will have been made and piloted by beings from another planet.
Or, if one considers the definiton of ufo and being nothing more than something flying that you don't know the identity of: Any aircraft, or object in flight is by definition a "ufo" until you know what it is.

While if they were built by the U.S. Air force than they wouldn't be a Unidentified Flying Object, the Air force would know what they are....

A human made U.F.O. isn't going to be an "unidentified flying object", because it's human made, and quite identifiable.
An extraterrestrial U.F.O. is exactly that, "unidentified" flying object.
Anything made by man on planet earth, is, identifyable and "known".

if its man made...... it should say..... "Made in the USA" or "Made in China" label.........!!!!
