God is not a creation of man... period. We, men and women, are the creations and children of God. God was here before the Earth was created and is the greatest person anyone can ever know.

Hell yes god is the greatest creation of man. Think about it. How can we keep the masses under control. Religion! If you ever saw Dogma, and forgive my paraphrasing, but god is viewed as an absentee landlord and a created father figure who will spank you if you dont do what he tells you. So many years ago, the men in charge, (sorry ladies) developed this father figure to keep the poor and unintelligent under control. Eventually they turned this into a ragingly successful business venture by accepting donations to build lavish churches, temples and shrines to their god, while the people continued to suffer. And why did they willingly turn their money over, the chance at eternal life and the love of their god. As long as you dont question, the church and the masses get along, but look at what happens when there are questions. Thousands of years of war in gods name, fought by the people and controlled by those who invented religion. Its time for a wake up call. Stop the madness! Live your life for you, not for anyone else.

Nope. The greatest creation of man is the harnessing of Electricity. Get your facts straight and stop trying to bait other people, you gain only the creation of hate, and there is nothing great about that. Every baby does that when they cry, are you then equal to Babies? Oooh how proud you must feel. Grow up and contribute.

Considering its divisive nature, man's creation of gods is hardly our greatest accomplishment. In fact, god is one of our worst inventions. Look at all the wars fought over religion. Look at the state of the world today. With the capacity of destruction that our modern weapons have, the future of the human race depends on all people coming together. One of the biggest roadblocks to this is our invented relgions.

Well, I would have to say no. Lets pretend first that he is just a creation.. there are certianly other better ones out there.. I can come up with a good story as much as the next guy, and if we're pretending that God is just a creation.. well, Stephen King has come up with better.

Many gods are creation of men, but I personally wouldn't nearly consider them a good creation at all. I do, however, believe that there is one God who created us people in His image. False gods have only brought religion and war into this world.

It is not "The greatest" but it certainly is a creation of man.

No. The most contradictary? Probably.
God is just a one-size-fits-all explanation for the unexplainable. Ancients didn't know what thunder and lightning were, so they decided it was Zeus being angry. Similarly, we don't know how the universe came into existence, so the religious say, "God did it." It's just a baseless claim that makes them feel better about not knowing everything.
