When it would simplify your life rather than complicating it.

I don't think there is a right age, I think it is when ever someone is ready. For some people that's 16, for some it maybe 25, or some will wait til they get married. There is no right or wrong age. The only thing I think you should be is mature enough to understand what you are doing, and to understand how to have safe sex and use birth control, if appropriate.

You had 2 answers that were dead on -

1. When it simplifies your life rather than complicates it.
2. If you have to ask then you're too young.

If you think that he/she will love/like you more if you have sex, or if you think that you will love/like him/her more if you have sex then it is a bad choice.

A good judge is, if you are looking forward to waking up next to the person the following morning more than you are looking forward to the sex, then it's a good time. Otherwise you run a huge risk of regretting it. and that's a life long regret.

You've got plenty of time to have sex... life is long, and sex gets much, much better with age and affection. Take your time and don't rush into anything. (Also, take the time to get good at the other stuff - kissing, touch, caressing... these are skills that are as important as sex, and most people overlook them. Practice, practice practice.)

The is no right or wrong age to have sex unless you are being forced to then it is not by choice. Sex should be within a committed relationship, preferably marriage where you can grow to love and please each other rather than hopping from bed to bed trying to satisfy a void of loneliness.

Of course this depend on maturity. I think even the most mature 16 year old is probably too young. It is better to wait until the age of 18, or later.

Hello,

Well, there are a lot of responsibilties that come when you start to have sex. And before you have sex--there are consequences that you must educate yourself about--and then you can decide if you are ready to have sex---So Here It Is:

First, you must realize that 70% of all Americans have an STD--Sexually Transmitted Disease. Many young people are catching Herpes and Genital Warts because these are diseases that you catch by "skin-to-skin" contact --when the crease of 2 people's thighs rub together.
And you can also catch them through throug Kissing--and once you have them, you have them For The Rest of Your Life..

Also, there is AIDS and other STDS's--so you must use Condoms Each Time you have sex.

Also, have you & your partner gone to a clinic to get tested for STD's and HIV? I ask because, many young people pass along STD's and HIV to each other because they Do Not know they even are infected. Many STD's have no symptoms--even HPV (which can cause genital warts), HIV, Gonorehah and Chymidia don't have any symptoms sometimes--so you could have sex with someone, and they could have genital warts and not even know it yet.....Plus many people know they have these STD's--but they lie about it--because most people Lie when it comes to sex--because they'll say anything to have sex--anything..

Last--do you want to be married one day? Because if you do, its best to wait until youre married and I'll tell you why. Once you start having sex, most people eventually break up with their girlfriend/boyfriend, and they soon start sleeping with other people. Next thing you know, you'd have slept with all these people, and you'll be "used up" , "worn out" and and "cheap". ...Plus, the more people you sleep with, the more likely it is you will catch an STD--Remember--you get herpes and genital warts from skin-to-skin contact and by kissing..Do you want to have to tell your finace "Honey, I love you, but I have herpes"...Its better to be pure--Virgens are so awesome!!!

You should go this website to learn all about STD's.
Look up each one, read about and and Look at the Photos of each one. You have to know all the consequences that can come from sex.

Also, remember sex causes Babies--surprise!.
Are you ready to become a parent? What would you do if you get Pregnant (if youre a girl)? Or if you get somene pregnant? How would you parents react? Are you ready to be a Parent and take care of a Baby by paying child support? I must warn you that condoms to break accidentally sometimes--thats how my brother came into this world. Sex is a gamble..

Last, how would you feel if the person you have sex with decides they want to break up with you? Could you handle a broken heart? Because once you sleep with someone, you can get attached to them--and sometimes they decide they are just plain tired of you. That is another consequence of sex.

Well, call the National AIDS & STD Hotline at
1-800-342-AIDS
to speak to a councelor who can tell you how to protect yourself, and go the website below to educate yourself.
Also, find a Planned Parenthoodn in your area, they can test you for STD's when you are ready at a low cost--remember-Before you have sex get tested--and take your partner with you and make them get tested too.

Peace and Good Luck.
