There should be no reason you can't see a doctor. There are free clinics all over the place. The best thing to do until you do see one is to keep busy, do things that you like to do or used to like to do. I suffer from severe depression and know what your going through though I do have medication. Even with that I have to work to help the pills work! Get a new hobby or even new friends. Make changes in bedroom that would cheer you up and keep you busy at the same time. Paint or wallpaper in a bright color, put flower stickers on bureaus and doors. Read a funny book and watch funny movies. Try not to listen to to much music because that could be very depressing. Keep a journal and make lists of things that you want to do every day and check them off as you do them but don't try to do too many things in one day or you will be overwhelmed. Good Luck and try to get to a doctor.

Exercise will help cheer you up--it releases natural highs in your body. Sweat every day.
Talk to a friend or trusted person about your situation, and listen to their ideas. DO what they suggest, if you can.
Eat well, no over-eating, no junk food, no sugar, so that you can have good food going into your body. It will help you have energy and clear-thinking.
Call a mental health help-line number in the phone book and tell them you are depressed and need help, but can't see a doctor. They WANT to help you. Tthey are in that businees because they want to help!
Reach outside your own life-volunteer at a hospital, or homeless shelter, library, pre-school, go to a church and volunteer to do anything. Anything to take your mind off of you and onto someone else for a little relief from your problems.
If this doesn't do the trick, go to a county health clinic and SEE A DOCTOR. You may have something PHYSICALLY wrong with you that is causing it, and a couple of little pills could fix you right up. Good luck!

1. Make sure you get enough sunlight daily, lack of it can cause depression. 2 Eat chocolate! bad for your diet and skin but it releases endorphines which are called the natural drug, the "happy hormone". Endorphines are also released by 3 eating spicy foods and by 4 exercise, try jogging daily, eventually you will get the "runners high"which again is your natural endorphines coming out. 5 This "high"can also be achieved by doing a good workout. 6 Laughing also releases endorphines, watch a funny program on tv, read a funny book, whatever gets you laughing out loud. Things to avoid: Alcohol/drugs, lethergy ( sleeping too much and not doing anything active), being alone too much( you may start to lock out the world) and eating binges.

Find a way to be busy.
If your busy your not concentrating on the things that are making you sad. If possible work out something that can make your situation better and be busy at that. You can't force yourself to be happy but you can distract yourself by keeping yourself busy. And if you are able to be busy by doing something to better your situation then you are even better off when your done because of the sence of accomplishment you should feel.
Most importantly always know things will get better if you work at making them better (and not just fool yourself).
Always know there are people there to help either through government agencies or churches.
And lastly recognize the problems, build and action plan to correct them, work on it but Never never dwell on it, recognizing there is good too.
Best of Luck

If you feel depressed you cannot face the condition alone. You need a professional help. If you have a health insurance use it. If not o to the Public hospital and tell them you are depressed. if this doe snot work, call the 911 and tell them what happens to you, they will send the cops and an ambulance.

Go to church and seek advice from a minister there, be around friends and family and do fun activities. Change what's making you depressed. Get outside and be part of life

Watch something funny. Eat comfort foods. Exercise. Soul search for the reason for your depression.

Just look for something in your life that you know has brought you a lot of happiness in the past and start doing that or think about that again and the good times will roll.

If you get involved in some volunteer activities it will help you feel better. Helping others always helps people get out of themselves and does so much good as well!
