It wont work.
I know you want to see this person, even as only friends.
But I promise you....... it will not work.

Get off the boat straight away if u don't wanna further your relationship. There's no use pretending. It'll only get worse. Both of u'll start guessing a bout feelings for each other and one may and up in a breakdown as u won't tell. Just be honest or u can just avoide her totally. It hurts u know.... End it off earlier since the cut is not too deep yet. Good luck!

I am in the same situation, except he feels the same way but isn't sure he wants to risk losing our friendship if it doesn't work out. So right now we are just "friends". It's easy for me to just be friends with him because we have been best friends for years and years and there is no way that I could ever not have him in my life. So just ask yourself this question... would you rather have him/her as just a friend or not at all? Does this friend know how you feel? Does he/she feel the same way? More details would get a more definate answer. I can tell you that before we talked about the way we felt and we'd fool around, we got mad at eachother often. Since we've talked about them, it's been even better than before.
P.S. We were romantically involved when we were in high school again recently. It's not that hard, it just takes time and patience. And you also have to make your mind up as to if your friendship is worth losing.

I do believe that if yall started off as friends then its possible to become friends again. But thats only if yall friendship is stronger than yall love. Its not good to be with someone and there is no friendship. Things can end up really bad. How long have you guys been in love? Either way someone will get hurt but if yall are mature enough then yall can also be friends.

My first question to myself would be, why do I have to pretend anything? Don't pretend anything if you love someone why can't you tell them? You need to bring this up and out into the open. First just ask yourself....why?

Now you know that you already know the answer to that! um hum..don't you? Don't pretend. That's just wrong for you and to the other person involved. Release them and allow the both of you to find compatibility, and happiness elsewhere. If they don't accept your offer of friendship there's nothing that you can do about that but accept their choice, and move on. Good luck.

Why pretend? What is the purpose of not being honest? Unless you still have feelings and dont want to loose him.

Yep.........forget being "friends".....does not really work as long as you still have those feelings. Better off walking away. No contact at all is the very best way to heal the broken heart......Been there/Done that......it works if you make a promise to look ahead and make your life work for you!

um.... don't go out with them.
break up. don't pretend. This is love, take it seriously, if you and them are just playing around, that's not love.

U shouldn't, just break your ties with this person. U can't act like if your not in love with a person.
