Read to him. Take him to library story times. Make up stories for him/with him.

Talk to him! Tell him about what you see when you are out and about. Talk about colors and shapes. Play "I spy" in the grocery store.

When you are going up stairs, count the steps. Sort his toy cars by color and then count to see which pile has more. Have him help you sort laundry by color or match socks. (Believe it or not...that teaches math skills!)

Sing the alphabet song to him. Sing other songs and dance with him.

Keep him stimulated, get on his level and play learning games. You'll both learn and have fun! Children already have the learning skills, they just need direction and loving interaction. Keep the TV to a minimum.

Is play school the same thing as preschool? I would suggest just having him around other children. By playing, they learn a lot from each other.

Get toys and books more advanced for his age. That is what I do with my kids and they are advanced in school.
