On Dec. 6, 1917, a collision in Halifax Harbour led to the biggest man-made explosion in the world before the era of the atomic bomb. The blast levelled most of the city and sent shards of glass and burning debris flying for miles. It left thousands dead, blinded or homeless. Although the explosion occurred before the creation of the CBC, the Canadian radio and TV network has retold the story throughout the years to ensure that this crucial event in Canadian history is not forgotten.

The russians set off an absolutely MASSIVE nuclear explosion. It was a 100 megaton nuclear bomb. However, they modified one of the stages with lead which reduced the yield by 50%.
Absolutely insane. watch the google video and look at the london info. I hate to think of this destructive power at full yield.

Back in 1990, when I was in college, my roommate once at 13 beef and bean burritos in one sitting at our local mexican restaurant. What followed was an explosion so massive, it tilted earth off its axis and forever changed the orbit in our galaxy. Aftershocks were heard around the world, for weeks and months after the initial explosion.
I am proud to say i was there to witness history.

Ask the truck driver who just took a dump in our restroom and got the ceiling wet. We had to take two of the ladies in the office outside and call in the fire department before we could return to work. That guy was 20 pounds lighter when he came out of there. He was walking a little strange too. Poor fellow.
