Your best bet is applying for a fiancee visa.
It usually takes around 6 months to be approved.
You may have to file additional documents for your children.

In your situation, I would strongly recommending consulting an attorney specializing in immigration issues. The money you spend doing so may be well worth it.

As for trying to enter illegally and go from there, don't even consider it. Your chances of getting a fiancee or spouse visa will decrease dramatically if you have entered on false pretenses. Also, you will not be able to work, your children wont have access to medical care.

I wish you luck.
Hang in there, it will happen for you.

P.S. ..... You might want to consider having your fiance join you in Canada, it is a bit easier, but more than that, with national health care in Canada, your children and you are covered. Once you come into the US, you will not have coverage until you are married, and then your children will only have coverage if your fiance's employment based health insurance allows for it.

Do consider all aspects of immigration and which way seems to be best for your individual situation.
